Warped Tour '09

This was my first time going to Warped Tour and before I went I knew exactly what to expect.........

RAIN, MUD, & TONS OF PEOPLE :)

I only knew a couple of bands playing but was focused on seeing Forever The Sickest Kids perform and meeting them :) That was my main goal for the day!

Yes it did rain but I still had a blast!

I went with my best friend Jessica who is also blogging about her concerts: jessmichellex3.blogspot.com :) We arrived in the area around 2:10 but didn't get to the actual venue till about 2:30 because we were lost! We walked around the venue for a little bit and then found our friend Melody!

We headed over to the stage where FTSK (short for Forever The Sickest Kids if you didn't know that already!) was playing and waited on the floor near the stage. They came on at 3:15 and played a few songs :)

I filmed parts of each song and will put those videos up on youtube soon! Sorry, I'm behind on that.. just added about 15 videos from Honor Society/Jessie James concert!

Anyway, after ftsk finished we walked toward the merchandise tents and guess who we ran into when we got up there? Jonathan Cook from ftsk! :) Took pictures with him. He was sooo nice!

30h!3 was playing at 3:55 and by the time ftsk finished and after meeting Jonathan Cook, we had about 10 minutes to spare to find 30h!3's set! Finally found it but couldn't get to the stage. It was jam packed with people. Decided to go get in line for The Maine's signing to waste time until ftsk had their signing.

I went to get something to eat since I was dying of starvation from not eating a thing all day :/ Waited more for The Maine's signing to start. Melody and her friends decided to go volunteer to serve food for bands in catering so jessica and I stayed in line for a little bit.

Then we realized what the heck are we doing here.. this is not a band to us, worth it enough to stand in this huge line for probably two hours.... no offense to those who are fans of The Maine hahah!

We got out of the line and sat down by the stage just to rest for a little bit.. went back to The Maine figured the line would move quickly and we had nothing else to do. After waiting over forty minutes we left and headed for ftsk signing :)

Bumped into Caleb from ftsk along the way. Took two pictures with him because in the first one I blinked haha :)

Walked past ftsk merch tent. The line was sooooooo looooonggg! We still got on line of course. We did not come to Warped Tour NOT to meet ftsk :) !

While waiting on line I watched the band, The White Tie Affair perform about four song since I could see the stage from the signing. Filmed two of them.. not so great because I was reallly far away.

After about fifteen minutes of waiting in line they came... instead of everyone waiting in line like they were supposed to they rushed up to each of them and created huge mobs around them. We still stood in line but decided to join in the mob scene after a while considering the fact that they were never getting out of there to meet us haha! Met Jonathan Cook again and got a Happy Birthday video from him. Also met the rest of ftsk well five out of six members.. never found the sixth member haha and got my warped tour ticket signed by three members of the band.

After we Left ftsk signing, we saw Jac Vanek at her merch tent! If you've never heard of her, you should definitely check her out! http://jacvanek.com. Took a picture with her and then left for the day!

HONOR SOCIETY FMC

I was sooooo happy I got the chance to attend this concert for free thank you to a very nice guy who works on concerts and events in New York! It was my first time seeing them perform and I really enjoyed the concert! I had no idea Jessie James was going to be the opening act until she came out on stage!

I got there around 7:15.. the concert started at 8:00. It was in a small venue and was SOLD OUT, therefore we were pretty squished. I walked in and there were tons of people already in front of me but I had a great view! I was soon moved up to the very front after honor society's second song... which I'll explain later! :)

Jessie James started exactly at 8:00. Everyone was pretty quiet during her set haha.. only some people were taking pictures and videos while others just stared. I video taped parts of each of the five songs she performed and posted them all on my youtube. (link on the right.)

She started with Blue Jeans then went to Hurry Up and started to explain what the song is about. Next was Bullet.. one of my favorites by her and then looks so good and wanted :) She said she wrote bullet with Katy Perry not sure for who's album though :)

After she was done, Honor Society came out about 5 minutes after and started with Two Rebels. After Two Rebels was over, I was moved up to the very front. Not the front row but the gated VIP area on the side of the stage thanks to a security guard my mom made friends with!

Toward the end of Two Rebels Andrew Lee and Michael Bruno were rocking out haha. Jason Rosen just stared and then joined in for a few seconds. Alex Noyes just sat there and kept playing the drums haha.

I was so happy over there because I was only with a few people (Honor Society's publicist, Ned, their manager Phil, another security guard, and my mom) & was not squished what so ever.

It felt great haha! :D

I stayed over there for 2 songs and then was told that no cameras were allowed near the stage since I wen't so close haha so they just moved me back a little. :) No big deal I could see the stage perfect still and didn't have anyone constantly knocking into me!

They also sang Nobody Has To Know (one of my favorites by them!), and Full Moon Crazy (Alex Noyes did not stop smiling throughout this entire song!)

Next came Where Are You Now.. my favorite song by them! They really got into the song and Alex started flipping his drum sticks while playing haha. Not sure if anyone noticed but I filmed it :) They played a couple more including a new song called Sing For You. The Jonas Brothers helped write it.

Then they paused and starting to discuss the last song they wrote before they left to go to LA to record their record which was specifically written for the fans.

Michael's exact words: "Cause we knew once we left, we didn't want anyone of you to forget about us" "because were sure how we've not forgotten about you"

Then they began the uh uh uh oooohhh oh.. uh uh uh ooohhh oh.  haha!

If you don't know what song I'm talking about yet, its Dont Close The Book! Then he had us repeat that about three or four times because he preferred us to be louder.. then they started to sing the actual song :)

The last song they played which was an obvious one, was SEE U IN THE DARK! :) I tried to film it as best as I could when the chorus came on because I really wanted to do the dance (the honor roll)! If you haven't heard of it yet or learned it I suggest you do so! It's really easy and a lot of fun!

After the concert was over Rob Hoffman started walking toward these doors on the side of the stage (which is where I was) and we took a picture! I started talking to him about garbo.. he found it funny :)

Everyone got in line for the Meet and Greet which was downstairs. The line was INSANELY huge since they said they wanted to meet EACH AND EVERY FAN... that is... if you pre order the CD for $20 once you get down there haha!

I didn't wait in line since the security guard said he would take me with him. He couldn't even take me down there right away because everyone was pushing and we couldn't even get through... I didn't mind waiting. It was a mess getting downstairs to the Meet and Greet!

After a while my mom and I wen't outside to get some fresh air since it was jam packed in there.

Right when I got outside I ran into HANNAH HYLEN & HER MOM! They were so nice and I was so glad I had the chance to meet them! If you don't know who Hannah is, check out her blog at hannahhylen.blogspot.com :)

Then I came across three guys from Jordin Sparks band. There are four of them, but only three were out there at the time.

Talked to them for a little bit and then took a picture!

Then the security guard came out and got me and took me down to the Meet and Greet! Got in line with about three other people down their at the time and met the boys!

First was Alex Noyes! I looked at him and he had this huge smile on his face! LOVE HIM!

Next was Michael Bruno. He was so nice! I told him how it was my first time seeing them and meeting them and that I thought they did great! We discussed the Florida shows I'm going to and he asked my mom if she was coming to the shows with me (which she is for one show) haha! He signed my poster and said see you in FLORIDA! :) He also asked for my name.. not sure why.. guess he just wants to try to remember it haha.

Andrew Lee was up next! We discussed basically the same things about the florida concerts and then he signed my poster and smiled!

Last was Jason Rosen! He asked for my name (still no idea why haha), hi-fived me, winked at me, signed my poster, and then waved goodbye. We both laughed haha.. I don't know what he was doing but he kept winking at me!

After I left the Meet and Greet, I found some of my friends from back home outside the venue! Talked to them for a little bit and then left.

Fun concert! Can't wait to see them again in Florida!

p.s. forgot to say.. after taking a picture with Rob Hoffman, my mom found Jessie James' setlist near the stage and gave it to me! :)

J14 INTUNE with tiffany giardina, drew seeley, & corbin bleu!

This was a pretty crazy day & it all started with three words: GOSSIP GIRL SET. I was on my way to China Town for lunch (never made it there & never ate lunch that day) & I came across a sign attached to a lamppost. It said street/parking spaces closed for Gossip Girl Filming.

My jaw dropped... I couldn't believe I was near the set. Its all I have been talking about since my trip to new york was booked haha!I looked up and down that street where the sign was posted and couldn't find the set. Then I found a police officer who showed me the way. I don't want to get into too much detail about the set and stuff but it was a lot of fun and im so glad I got to be out there watching them film scenes for upcoming episodes :) ! I stood out there for a good 5 or 6 hours or so without eating along with a bunch of other girls.

Later on in the day I headed back to the hotel with only 40 minutes to shower and get ready to pick up my tickets for the event! I knew I wasn't going to have enough time to get ready and get the tickets in time so my moms friend coming with us who worked near the ticket pick up area, got in line and picked up our tickets! I was so nervous. haha.

I arrived and got in line with her. We weren't toward the front, obviously because I was chasing the gossip girl cast all day and was unable to arrive early haha :) So the line was moving super slow and my mom and her friend could not stand in their HIGH heels haha so my mom went over to the security guard working the door and said I can't stand anymore can we come in and guess what? He just took us right in HAHA. We skipped like 40 people haha.

So we walked in and went downstairs to the stage area. Upstairs were tables for parents to sit at. :) Before it started I walked around on the floor by the stage in search of my friend. Finally found her IN FRONT ROW ;) she let me stand with her.. thank you becky! :) Lights dimmed, etc.. and some guy not sure who he was but he was associated with j14 in some way or another introduced Lexi, who works with j14. She is the sales associate!

After Lexi talked and said thanks for coming, etc... she brought Tiffany Giardina out! :) I was so excited! Within the first 40 seconds of No Average Angel (first song she sang..) she came over to my side I waved and she waved/winked back at me with a smile. She totally remembered me from 2 weeks ago. ha ha. :) She already knew I was going to be there though (: she is so nice!

Tiffany performed the two songs she usually does with a quick performance: Hurry Up & Save Me and No Average Angel. Took some pictures and videos of each song. I had two battery's with me but after filming the gossip girl set they were both dead. I didn't have any time to charge them when I got back to the hotel either so I just went to the concert with two almost dead battery's haha.

When she was done, Drew Seeley came out and everyone was screaming for about 5 minutes straight. He couldn't even talk and introduce the next artist. He finally quieted the audience and brought out corbin bleu! Wohoo! When Tiffany & Drew came out to the stage, they came out a door in the corner back area of the stage, but when corbin came out he jumped out from behind the curtain.

Nobody really noticed that he came out because we were so focused on that corner (where we thought he was coming out of) until he started singing! I knew the songs he sang, just not in correct order. He sand run it back again, from that movie Minutemen which I said he was probably going to do. He did a great cover of Man In The Mirror by Michael Jackson as well. He also sang speed of light and showed off his dance moves ha ha.

After he finished his set, everyone started to leave except for those who had meet and greet passes. (I was one of those people) Besides winning this contest for the concert.. I also won m&g passes. I couldn't believe it :) I walked around by the stage and found Corbin's dad and took a picture with him. It came out blurry but I ended up seeing him much later and taking another one!

I got in line and it moved pretty quickly until it was my turn. I'll explain why.... first person was Drew Seeley! He is incredibly nice! I took my picture with him & then we started talking about the little mermaid ha ha.. this was the start of my holding up the line. Next was Tiffany. She was so excited to see me! I had her sign the picture of her and I we took from the event she was at two weeks ago :)

Everyone that took pictures with tiffany before me leaned over the table since she was behind it. I didn't do that ha ha! I said to her.. how are we taking this picture and she says come back behind the table and we can take it like that! I was the only one that got to do that. I wasn't taking a picture leaning over a table ha ha! I walked behind the table, you know, holding up the line... and she had this HUGE smile on her face and she gave me the biggest hug ever! :D

We were talking for about two minutes while everyone stared at me like HURRY UP! ha ha. Tiffany was the one talking to me.. and I kept getting yelled at for holding up the line and tiffany was just like oh well and continued talking to me :)  She said I'm so glad you won.. its nice to see you again.... etc! :)

Next was Corbin. Since I was already behind the table, I just stayed for my picture with him. I was once again the only one who took pictures behind the table with him. Not to sure everyone was happy with that hah but oh well! I said what I needed to say and I enjoyed talking to them! Im not shy AT ALL. I talk to just about everyone that walks past me ha ha.

We talked about his album, his dad, and I asked (someone told me to ask him this & I totally forgot who) if they were doing another high school musical tour. He told me no and that they already did one. We took the picture and he signed his c.d. for me :) Im glad I didn't go out and buy it! :) He was so nice! If I had more time.. I probably could have talked to him all night! He gave me a hug and thanked me for coming!

Then my mom and I spoke with the security guard that let us in because my moms feet were hurting. He was really nice! Then I saw Corbin's dad again and talked with him for a little and then took another picture with him which came out perfect! :)

I picked up my gift bag which had a poster of Tiffany and Corbin on a stick in it as well as some candy & then headed out! It was a long tiring day but I had a lot of fun at the concert and was so glad I got to be apart of it!

Photography is a drug

I got my camera and I love it! :) It's so easy to use and the pictures have amazing quality! I take it with me almost everywhere I go so I can snap shots of things that interest me :) ! Sorry I didn't post the pictures earlier. I have been really busy lately and was waiting to take some more! There are all sorts of fun scenes on my camera that I can set to match the subject of my photos such as fireworks, beach, snow, and food. The food scene is my favorite! Here are some photos I've taken so far with the food scene :)

Friday, (yesterday) I went to a few vintage shops as well as a candy store in Wilton Manors (a city in Florida) and took a few photos there (:

This candy store was huge and had any candy you can possibly want. There was a variety of chocolates and old bubblegum brands as well as snacks from about 30 years ago. I didn't recognize half the brands in the store because of how long ago they existed! :)

I'll be taking some more photos soon so keep on the lookout for those! (: As you can see I added two more concerts to my list: Push Play & Tiffany Giardina/Corbin Bleu. The Tiffany Giardina/Corbin Bleu one is actually a contest I recently won. I entered June 19, 2009 and completely forgot about it until I received the email saying I won! :D It's a private party/concert with about 350 people that also won. Its not something you can buy tickets for. Its in New York and I will be there that day (which is why I entered it). I'm really excited for it and will be sure to blog about it! I also changed the layout of my blog as you can see! I wanted to just change the text color before of something but it wouldn't work so I just decided to change the entire layout to blue (:

Enjoy the pictures!

Something about you is so addictive <3

Title: Demi Lovato song "Here We Go Again" ... you should listen to it if you haven't already.. its amazing! :D

So I've been searching for the perfect camera for over a year now and have finally found it! I enjoy using Sony and have had a lot of experience with the brand so I decided to stick with it :) I needed a great camera for my concerts since I don't really like my digital and I am so excited that I have found a great one :) I'm picking it up tomorrow morning !! Here is a picture of it: It's not the most amazing camera ever but to me it is haha (: It takes HD videos and zooms as far as 10x optical (: I can't wait to use it tomorrow! I'll be sure to post pictures that I will take with it tomorrow <3>

There are some other cameras that I looked at in best buy today and last week and there are a ton of great ones out there not just for concerts but I've narrowed it down to the camera above ^ and I'm satisfied with my choice! =)
Camera Info: Sony Cyber Shot 10.1 MP Digital Camera 10x optical zoom HD video

BEYONCE :)

This concert was seriously one of the most fun and exciting ones I have ever gone too! The opening act was a group of four girls that go by the name "Rich Girls!" They performed three songs. I enjoyed the songs... very upbeat and lively! They performed on ladders and stools... it was cool! When they were done, workers came onto the stage and swept it making sure everything was perfect for the real star of the show he he :)

I had section 101 row 27! I was on the side in between both stages : perfect view! I also had a tv above me so i took some great pictures off of there!

ACT ONE: So finally the lights dimmed and people started to make their way back to their seats. These green lights started flashing and smoke started up around the stage. After 3 minutes or so I looked at the television screen and saw a body (Beyonce's) standing still (her main pose) with smoke around it.

On the stage you could only see smoke and not her body. After a little bit she started walking forward and the crowd went insane! Seriously I should have brought ear plugs for that ha ha. It was ridiculously loud for about 5 minutes of just screaming and voice loosing ha ha!

Her dancers came out after her and her band on the stage started to move forward (every single band member is a girl) :) The band was on something not wheels ha ha but something that makes them move around! Anyway beyonce made her way to the center of the stage and she started to sing crazy in love! I was excited since i knew all the words to it!

The song is so old but I still love it <3>

ACT TWO: It started off with "smash into you " : (slow) beautiful song with a lot of meaning and then went into the song "Ave Maria" ... slow one as well :) After she danced and walked around the stage looking at fans. Then she sung "Satellites" : slow one also haha! Then there was a piano solo! The pianist was amazing! Beyonce had a quick change and then came back to the stage for the song HALO! Its a pretty famous one ... one of my favorites :)

If you haven't heard it, I suggest you go listen to it ha ha!!! Then If I Were A Boy started to play and the crowd started cheering! I've always loved this song ever since I heard it on the radio ha ha!

ACT THREE: dancers came on while beyonce changed. Then she started to rise up from this square whole in the stage singing "DIVA!" Another great song to dance too! I knew the words to this one as well as the entire sold out arena! :)

Then radio came on and there was a dance before it with a radio up on the big screen behind the stage with her songs switching from song to song only playing like 5 seconds of each. Then she sang the ACTUAL song called "radio!" Its about her being in love with a radio kind of ha ha! Then she showed a video of her when she as younger singing. SHE WAS ADORABLE! I took videos of it as well as all the songs from the concert :) Thankfully there was no security around or else I would not have been able to take the videos I took! :)

Then she sang me, myself, and I. slow one :) Her voice sounded amazing in this song <3>

ACT FOUR: Deja Vu. Then she went to the B stage (she had two stages by the way: quite far from each other)! She flew from the main stage to the B stage.. not real flying ha ha. She was attached by tons of strings and stuff like that. She sung Baby Boy while flying! It was pretty risky considering the fact that she was flying OVER the audience. Once she was above the B stage, she was lowered and her dancers joined her but not by flying. Security (like 20 security guards) ran them from stage to stage!

Beyonce started dancing on the stage while singing irreplaceable followed by check on it! Then

she sat down on the stage...(still on the B stage) well it was more of a squat haha. Anyway, she leaned toward a guy who front row and pointed the microphone at him. He said in the microphone "WHO ARE YOU?" "YOU'RE NOT FREAKING BEYONCE!" "NO! NO! NO!" :P

He was hilarious. She asks for his name.. i forgot it was some strange name ha ha. She then says to him "GUESS WHAT?" "YOU JUST MET BEYONCE!" He almost fainted! "Upgrade you" came on..... it was like a tour remix :) Then ring the alarm: an old favorite of mine! Then she sang a part of video phone, say my name, and survivor! I loved all those old destiny child ones since they were my favorite songs when I was younger!

ACT FIVE: She then was run back to the MAIN stage by like 30 security guards since she ran back on the floor where people were sitting! If I was on an end seat and she ran past me I would go crazy ha ha.. but then security would have yelled at me :D lol. When she got to the stage she sand dangerously in love.

She sang at last and showed some video clips of discrimination and the inauguration/the Obama's since she sung AT LAST at the inauguration :) Then Listen came on from the movie dream girls! I never got a chance to see that movie! oh well... :/

ACT 6: FINALEE!!! Single ladies band jam-then she started to sing single ladies and do her worldwide famous single ladies dance while the tv screens showed videos from all around the world of random people doing parts of the dance :) Too bad they didn't show joe jonas :/ There were some funny ones in the single ladies montage!

In the middle of the song, she stopped singing/the music and went over to the left side of the stage to a couple! She hands him the microphone and he says to his girlfriend... since beyonce says you should put a RING ON IT "hint" "hint" ... why don't I? He gets one one knee and pulls out a RING and asks his girlfriend to marry him! Everyone cheered and cried :)

He had vip since he was sitting in the diva section (meaning your right smack in front of the main stage!) The people on the floor sitting down were not near the stage where they can touch it.. in between them and the stage was all sorts of lighting and camera technical type of things!

Although they were close.. they weren't close enough to be able to hit her hand... :) Anyway about the guy having vip... it includes meet and greet with beyonce and some other stuff so I guess they planned it then or ahead of time.. i have no idea ha ha. It was cute though :) When the song was over, Beyonce told us what a great audience we were and stuff like that :) Then she walked down toward where the floor was (only time the whole concert they got to physically touch her ha ha). She sung "Flaws and All" while doing this.

She shook hands with almost everyone front-third row that could reach her and then she went back to the stage! She stood on this elevation thing which was used during the beginning of the concerts at time. :) She talked some more and was soon lowered down beneath the stage ending the concert! I had so much fun and took great pictures and videos :)
